Final Reunion Plea!!!

Well time is running out, as the Big Event draws near,
With hundreds of classmates still uncommitted to appear.
“Such a shame!” I say with sadness in my heart
But I won’t give up until they decide to take part.
I’ve done everything I can, God knows I’ve tried
Yet I’m keeping the faith that, very soon, you’ll decide.
I’ve used Classmates, Facebook, a website and more.
I’ve published who is coming and have sent emails galore!
So, for you stragglers out there who just won’t seem to budge,
I am writing this poem as my last and final plug
If it sounds like I’m pleading…well, maybe I am,
But I’m determined to change the “I can’ts” to “I CAN’s!”
With Dinner, Drinks, a DJ and Emcee
We’ll have so much fun—you must come and see!
You would never have missed a great party back in the day.
Come hell or high water, nothing would stand in your way!
So get off your ass and go book that flight!
You’ll be so glad you came and partied all night.
To rekindle our memories and all the fun of our past,
Please join us October 2nd at the Westin for a blast!
You’ll be so happy you did; this I solemnly swear.
The 35th Reunion is sure to be one Grand Affair!!
